The fourth installment in The Elder Scrolls series, Oblivion, may not have been the marketing juggernaut that Skyrim was, but it was still a successful and memorable game. The problem is that it has not aged well. So when rumors started circulating about a remake in development, many fans welcomed the news with excitement.
Interestingly, it seems like the release is just around the corner. First, insider NateTheHate reported that the game would launch within the next few weeks, and then sources from Video Games Chronicle confirmed this information. According to the insider, the game is expected to be released before June. Meanwhile, some VGC sources claim that the launch could happen as early as next month, in April.
According to multiple insiders, the remake is being developed by Virtuos, a studio known for assisting with major AAA projects and porting games to modern platforms. The game is expected to look stunning on Unreal Engine 5. The only potential downside could be the high system requirements. Now, all that’s left is to wait for the official announcement.
