Since Activision Blizzard was taken over by Xbox, more titles keep arriving to the Game Pass catalog. Microsoft announced that starting on November 5, two classic installments of the iconic strategy game StarCraft will appear in the subscription service. Users of PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate will be able to experience the story campaigns of StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection.
As is well-known, Blizzard provides free access to the online modes of the original StarCraft II. Now, subscribers will have an opportunity to dive deeper into the epic space war between three distinct factions.
The company also highlighted the impact StarCraft had following its release in 1998, along with its sequel StarCraft II from 2010. They reminded fans that in 1999, a copy of StarCraft was sent to space, StarCraft II helped inspire the idea for the Twitch streaming platform, and six years ago, the legendary strategy game became part of an official pre-Olympic event.
