For quite a long time, Team Fortress 2 wasn't a pleasant experience as different bots plagued all the servers and it was impossible to have fun. Now, it seems like TF2 is fixed.

Valve has blocked numerous accounts in Team Fortress 2 that were used by cheater bots. This was reported by blogger shounic, who conducted a survey among players. The developers of the shooter have not officially announced the wave of bans.

Shounic speculated that Valve might have blocked up to 16,000 accounts — the online player count in Team Fortress 2 dropped by that number simultaneously on June 25. The blogger also conducted a survey in the game and found that after the wave of bans, there were practically no cheater bots on the servers. This was also confirmed by YouTube users in the comments under videos.

Previously, Team Fortress 2 players launched the FixTF2 campaign, demanding that Valve address the issue with cheater bots. Activists created a petition to the developers. Whether this was the reason for the bans is unknown.
