Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is a niche but highly anticipated project. Unfortunately, the developers have shared an update with some disappointing news for fans—the release date has been postponed yet again, this time to October 2025.
According to The Chinese Room, Bloodlines 2 is currently in its late development stages and is mostly complete, with the team having taken community feedback into account. However, the delay is intended to ensure the game meets technical standards, runs smoothly, and is free of critical bugs.
Since the last developer update, the team has had time to deepen the narrative, expand character development, and even change the role of Fabien (the protagonist’s inner voice) within the story. The developers also encourage fans to check out previously released details on the game.
Interestingly, this new launch window is dangerously close to the expected release of GTA 6. If there are no further delays, Rockstar’s project will likely overshadow Bloodlines 2 completely. However, if GTA 6 gets postponed, Bloodlines 2 could benefit from a less crowded release period—many studios have deliberately avoided competing with what is expected to be 2025’s biggest game.
