There are not that many names in the gaming industry that can attract people to new projects. It is even less common when several of such people unite and make a game that can't be judged by its trailer. Because in the case of Wanderstop, the game can lead you in any direction.
The story of Wanderstop revolves around a former warrior who, after experiencing a mysterious event, decides to open a tea shop located in a magical forest. However, she finds that this occupation does not bring her peace, as she is haunted by the ghosts of her combative past.
The main character will interact with visitors, learn their stories, grow and gather ingredients, prepare drinks, decorate her abode, and ponder various topics. However, it is obvious that the game will not limit itself to that.
Wanderstop is being developed by Ivy Road, which includes Davey Wreden, creator of The Stanley Parable; Karla Zimonja, co-creator of Gone Home; and composer C418, best known for his work on Minecraft.
Wanderstop is set to release by the end of 2024 on PC and PS5.
