Amazon Studios has postponed the start of filming for the second season of the "Fallout" series, which was scheduled to begin on January 8. The decision comes amid raging wildfires in Los Angeles. Many other film studios have also delayed or canceled shoots and premieres planned for January.
The Los Angeles authorities declared a state of emergency due to a fire that broke out on the morning of January 7 in the upscale Pacific Palisades neighborhood. Over 30,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes as the blaze spread to an area of 486 hectares in just a few hours.
Strong winds and drought have been major factors in the rapid spread of the fire. The city's fire chief, Christine Crowley, stated that more than 10,300 households and 13,200 structures are at risk. The fire threatens to extend to neighboring areas.
There are many well-known people that are affected by this fire. Among them, for example, the Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill.
You cannot predict the whims of nature and the destructive effects they can have. Let's hope and pray that all people there are safe.
