LEGO has unveiled a new set based on The Legend of Zelda series, containing the Great Deku Tree with two distinct types of foliage and environments from Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild. Sales begin September 1st, priced at $299.
The set also includes figures of Zelda and Link. The Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set comprises 2,500 LEGO pieces. Currently available for pre-order only, shipments will commence on September 1st, 2024.
This marks the first official LEGO set inspired by the The Legend of Zelda universe, developed in collaboration with Nintendo after lengthy negotiations between the two companies. The Great Deku Tree is one of the most recognizable locations in the Zelda series, and LEGO aimed to accurately recreate its appearance.
The set allows builders to assemble two variants of the Great Deku Tree, representing different eras in Hyrule's history from Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild. The assembled model boasts impressive size and height, making it an ideal display piece for collectors. Additionally, the set includes Link and Zelda figures for role-playing. Despite the games' popularity, the set carries an 18+ age rating due to its high complexity and numerous small pieces.
