Super Bowl is a phenomenon in both sports and culture. An enormous amount of eyes tune in to see the winner of the NFL's main match. This year, one ad video cost at least $8 000 000. Marvel decided to spend this money to promote its newest movie titled Thunderbolts. It will premiere on May 2 and will show the story of a team of antiheroes and former supervillains assembled by the US government to carry out dangerous missions that traditional superheroes cannot handle.
Marvel announced that the soundtrack for the film will be written by the band Son Lux, known for their work on the Oscar-nominated film Everything, Everywhere, at Once. Speaking of music, in case you wondered, the trailer featured a cover on "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" by Starship.
In the YouTube comments to the trailer, people are not showing a great deal of hype, and if the movie flops, it will be symbolic. Super Bowl LIX was one of the most disappointing matches and the halftime show by Kendrick Lamar was not for entertainment either but more of a statement on both personal and political levels. Nonetheless, art may take very different forms.
