Nintendo and strict content rules - name a more iconic duo. Recently, the Japanese corporation updated its guidelines for video bloggers and streamers. The company once again emphasized that any content it deems inappropriate or in violation of its rules will be subject to their action. Now, Nintendo more clearly declared its authority to prohibit the use of its game content in videos.

Nintendo continues to ban the posting of gameplay recordings without the creator's own creative contribution, which now includes videos with music or compilations of different sorts.

Also, content that shows attempts to disrupt multiplayer gameplay, as well as content containing offensive material will not make Nintendo happy, and if its staff (especially lawyers) are not happy, the content creator is going to have a bad time.

Additionally, Nintendo specifically stated that it forbids showing illegal copies of games and modifications of its content that were created using illegally obtained software. Considering that they ban any modifications at community esports events, nothing surprising here as well.

Nintendo has long been known for its strict policies regarding fan content, including tournaments related to its games. With this update, the stance doesn't change.
