The new project by Ken Levine, the creator of BioShock, from Ghost Story Games was supposed to be out by now, but neither the developers nor the publisher Take-Two Interactive have shared any updates.

Back in February 2023, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick stated that Judas, whose concept originated back in 2014, would be released no later than March 2025. The CEO expressed confidence in this timeline, noting that while delays are possible, the company's release schedule was expected to remain stable.

However, a year before the planned release date, Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier reported that Judas was stuck in "development hell", with his sources blaming Levine's demanding leadership style for team burnout.

All of this is eerily reminiscent of the exact same situation during the development of BioShock Infinite. At the time, due to Levine's mismanagement of the development process, the project also faced serious issues and was nearly canceled. The situation was salvaged by Rod Fergusson, who moved from Epic to Irrational Games and essentially became a crisis manager, taking over studio leadership and streamlining production. Perhaps Judas needs someone like that now.
