A new Arc B570 graphics card built on the Battlemage architecture is about to be released by Intel. The model's initial testing results were just posted to the Geekbench OpenCL database.

Arc B570 is equipped with 10 GB of GDDR6 memory with 160-bit bus and scored 86,716 points in Geekbench OpenCL tests. This is 12% less than the older Arc B580 model, which achieves 98,343 points. This difference is explained by a more affordable price - Arc B570 will cost $219, which is 12% cheaper.

The card has 144 compute blocks and clock speed in boost mode up to 2.75 GHz. The base frequency is 2.5GHz, but probably tested a third-party model with an improved cooling system.

Battlemage expands Intel's presence in the segment of mid-budget graphics cards. As a reminder, the Arc B580, released in December 2024, received positive reviews due to its competitive performance. Arc B570 will be its affordable alternative, utilizing a 272mm² BMG-G21 chip, but with a reduced number of compute blocks.

Against competitors such as NVIDIA RTX 4060 and AMD RX 7600 XT, Arc B570 looks more attractive in terms of price to performance ratio. But gaming benchmarks and driver support will play a key role.

The Arc B570 will premiere on January 15. Third-party versions are expected to follow soon. For Intel, this is an important step in the development of the GPU lineup, and the success of Battlemage may determine the company's future in the graphics card market.
