Riot Games has announced a rework of the honor system in League of Legends. The developers shared details about this in a new blog post.

The first changes will appear in the game in September 2024. Players will once again be able to commend not only their teammates but also their opponents. This feature was previously available in LoL but was removed in 2018 after the game transitioned to a new client.

The developers have also improved the system for detecting intentional griefing in matches. While it is still in the testing phase, initial results are promising. The tool now identifies instances of "intentional feeding" with 70% accuracy, and the goal is to increase this to 95% in the future.

Earlier, Riot Games announced the end date for the second ranked split of Season 14. It will conclude with the release of patch 14.18, scheduled for the night of September 25th. Most likely, the first reworks to the honor system will appear in this update.
