Netflix has officially released the first teaser for Wednesday Season 2, once again starring Jenna Ortega as the iconic Wednesday Addams. The new season will be released in two parts — August 6 and September 3.

According to the official synopsis, the upcoming episodes will delve deeper into Wednesday's college life, as she continues to grapple with her psychic powers. The storyline will include a series of murder investigations and a mysterious family secret involving her parents.

Jenna Ortega is not only reprising her role but is also now serving as a producer for the second season. Returning cast members include Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Luis Guzmán. Season 2 will also introduce new faces like Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, and Lady Gaga in a secretive role.

Tim Burton returns to direct alongside Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson, while showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar continue to helm the project. MGM Television remains the main production house.

The first season of Wednesday was a record-breaking success for Netflix, reaching 252 million views and staying in the global top 10 for 20 weeks. It remains the platform’s most-watched English-language series of all time.
