Peacock has officially announced the premiere date for Twisted Metal Season 2 โ the action-packed show returns on July 31. Based on the iconic video game series, the new season promises more over-the-top car battles, explosions, and madness.
A teaser trailer revealed fast-paced action scenes, wild stunts, and the return of Sweet Tooth, the chaotic clown with a flaming head. At the center of it all is John Doe, played once again by Marvel star Anthony Mackie. This time, he enters a deadly racing tournament while searching for his long-lost sister, known as Dollface. Returning cast includes Stephanie Beatriz, Anthony Carrigan, Samoa Joe, and Tiana Okoye.
The first season premiered in 2023 and became a surprise hit. It currently holds a 67% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes but an impressive 93% from audiences. On IMDb, fans rated it a solid 7.3. If you haven't watched it, don't expect some high-tier art and AAA-quality. Twisted Metal Season 1 is a huge entertainment and it doesn't have any other purposes (except for earning money, of course). Season 2 looks ready to take the madness up a notch. Buckle up.
