Recent leaks have revealed initial performance details of NVIDIA's upcoming GeForce RTX 5070, indicating a substantial leap forward in capabilities. According to Geekbench data, the RTX 5070 outpaces the RTX 4070 by approximately 20%, with scores that closely rival those of the RTX 4070 Ti.

In OpenCL testing, the RTX 5070 achieved an impressive score of 187,414, compared to the RTX 4070's 167,924. The disparity becomes even more pronounced in Vulkan tests, where the RTX 5070 scored 188,712 versus the RTX 4070's 156,601. These results confirm NVIDIA's promise of a 15–20% performance boost.

Equipped with the Blackwell GB205 GPU, the RTX 5070 is set to launch on March 5th at a competitive price point of $549: $50 less than the original MSRP of the RTX 4070. NVIDIA has assured customers that supply will meet demand, addressing concerns about availability.

Although specific gaming performance figures have yet to be disclosed, industry experts anticipate the RTX 5070 to deliver performance between the RTX 4070 Ti and a potential RTX 4070 Ti SUPER variant. Featuring 12GB of VRAM, the card is positioned to compete directly with AMD's upcoming Radeon RX 9070, expected to release later in 2025. This makes the RTX 5070 a compelling option for gamers and content creators alike.
