On September 12, 2003, Steam was launched. Twenty-one years later, this platform is beloved by millions of gamers across the world. Although Valve did not make any big announcements, there is one piece of news that would be very useful to those of you who are looking to dive into the world of portable gaming.

Valve has introduced significant discounts on the Steam Deck with an LCD display. The company is now selling the 256 GB model for $296 and the 512 GB model for $336, with discounts of $52 and $112, respectively.

The discount on the 512 GB Steam Deck is the largest ever for Valve's portable PC since its release. Although the LCD generation might look a little bit outdated, the hardware in Steam Deck is still great, and for discounted price it is a great choice over portable PCs that appeared later.

However, members of the Steam Deck community on Reddit believe that such large discounts suggest Valve's intention to clear out their stock of the portable PC. It’s possible that the company plans to sell only models with OLED screens in the future. While that might also be true, there aren't any obvious cheap tricks in this offer. So, today might be a good day to try something new.
