While Counter-Strike 2 players await the arrival of Train or another significant update, the game has mostly seen the introduction of bugs. One such issue allows players to start defusing the bomb from a considerable height, as long as they're positioned above the C4. This exploit currently works on maps like Nuke and Thera.
At the time of the writing, Valve has yet to address the glitch. However, it’s considered a serious issue, as it disrupts the tactical approach to bomb defense at certain sites in CS2. For instance, on Nuke, simply watching ground level is no longer sufficient; opponents can cover the defuser from elevated positions.
Previously, players had also started reporting that certain smoke grenade lineups were no longer functioning in CS2. Additionally, some noted that smoke screens were no longer visible in specific demo recordings. These issues arose after a patch which introduced changes to the jumping mechanics.
