Players in Counter-Strike 2 reported malfunctions with smoke grenades after the release of the latest patch. A Reddit user published a video showcasing the bug.
In the video, the author demonstrated seeing the movement of an opponent on the mini-map, even though their line of sight was obscured by smoke at that moment. The cause of the error is unknown.
Another user in the comments mentioned encountering a similar bug.
Other users noted that similar issues had also occurred in previous patches, including in CS:GO.
The first major update for Counter-Strike 2 was released on February 7th. The update contained numerous bugs, so Valve released a hotfix on February 8th. The update fixed several errors. It appears the smoke issue emerged after this.
