Valve appears to have returned from its Christmas break and has already released a small update for Counter-Strike 2. However, much like a hangover, this patch seems to have broken several things rather than fixing the existing bugs.

The changelog for the update is brief: it fixes some clipping issues at one point on Inferno and also made adjustments to the legacy weapon models. (Here's a brief explanation: the models in CS2 and CS:GO differ, but the developers didn't fully replace the old skins. Instead, they left them as they are. The difference is small but important, particularly for skin collectors who created unique, expensive crafts with various stickers.)

While the update is minor and was supposed to go unnoticed, if you look at Reddit and other social media platforms, you'll see people already going wild.

In addition to this, the update broke the weapon inspection animation. Now it happens with a noticeable delay, and people aren't too happy about it. No other major bugs have been spotted yet, but these issues are far from trivial.

This week should be productive for the CS2 developers, as we expect a replacement for the limited item in the Armory, as well as the official replacement of Vertigo with Train in matchmaking.
