Imperial Esports had the chance to move on to the Elimination Stage of the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. They faced ECSTATIC, and the winner of the match would go on to the next stage after having a day off tomorrow. Unfortunately, to all the fans of the Brazilian team, Imperial lost 1:2 (4:13 on Anubis, 13:10 on Inferno, 9:13 on Vertigo) in a quite close Best of 3 match.

João 'felps' Vasconcellos and Kaiky 'noway' Santos stayed in the green with a 1.01 rating, but they could not do anything against Magnus 'Nodios' Olsen, who finished the series with a total K-D of 60-41. 

ECSTATIC moves on to the Elimination Stage, while Imperial will have to play one more match in the 2-2 bracket. Their opponent is GamerLegion, a team which replaced 9Pandas at the last minute due to the latter having visa issues. The winner of the Imperial - GamerLegion match stays in the tournament and gets seeded in the next stage, while for the loser, the path to the first CS2 major will be finished.

The winner of the PGL Major Copenhagen will win $500,000. The total prize pool of the tournament is $1,250,000.
