It is very rare that Dota 2 has critical bugs that ruin all the matchmaking. Yet, with the release of 7.36 patch, such a rare event occurred, and now desperate measures were done. Valve released a mini-patch for Dota 2. It includes only one change: the developers temporarily removed Meepo from the active pool and banned him from being selected in matches.

This decision by Valve is likely related to the large number of bugs that players have discovered over the past few days. One of these bugs allowed players to earn 10,000 gold in conjunction with Naga Siren after transferring the Chainmail item.

On July 2, the developers already fixed a bug with Divine Rapier on Meepo. For some reason, the Pack Rat aspect was malfunctioning, allowing players to place an expensive item in the neutral item slot.

Previously, Valve announced the release date for the third act of the Crownfall event. They humorously set the date as June 39, since they had promised to release it by the end of the month. If the issues with Meepo are more significant, we might have to wait until the third act for this controversial character to return.
