We’ve already mentioned that, in the current transfer window, EliGE is very likely to move from Complexity Gaming to FaZe Clan. Yesterday, the player said his goodbyes to Jason Lake’s organization, and today, the American officially joined FaZe Clan.
We rate this transfer a perfect 10 out of 10. For EliGE, this may be his last big chance to chase a trophy, and despite the move to Europe, this is one of the best teams for him.
From FaZe Clan’s perspective, it’s hard to imagine a better replacement for the departing ropz. While it can always be said that the club could have put in more effort to keep the Estonian superstar, this replacement could turn out to be a huge benefit.
EliGE is a highly experienced player who doesn’t need time to unlock his potential. Moreover, he’s a very aggressive player capable of gaining an advantage early in rounds. He takes the initiative, while broky and Frozen can then build on the success.
Ropz complained that FaZe Clan lacked pure firepower. The problem was that the Estonian combined the roles of an opener—someone who strives to get the first frag—and a clutcher—the player who remains last and pulls the team through tough situations. There’s a major contradiction between these two roles. Now, FaZe Clan has the opportunity to resolve that contradiction and play more efficiently.
We’ll see the revamped FaZe lineup in action on January 14 at the closed qualifier for BLAST Bounty Spring.
