With just over three weeks remaining until the start of the League of Legends World Championship, more and more regions are wrapping up their seasons. In Europe, G2 Esports has achieved an unprecedented feat — winning all three regional splits, as well as clinching victory in the LEC finals.

Now, G2 Esports will head to the arenas in London, Paris, and Berlin as Europe’s top-seeded team. In the grand finals, G2 Esports once again defeated Fnatic. Unfortunately for the Orange team, they have yet to break their trophy drought, which has now lasted for six years. The third European representative, Mad Lions KOI, will begin their Worlds journey from the Play-in stage.

The main question remains whether G2 Esports can compete with the teams from South Korea and China. Last year, the team narrowly missed advancing to the playoffs, finishing in 9th-11th place overall.

Worlds 2024 is scheduled for September 25 - November 2 in Europe. Twenty teams will battle for the right to be called the best League of Legends team in the world.
