Professional League of Legends player Martin "Rekkles" Larsson will be a part of the T1 main roster ahead of the 2024 World Championship. This was revealed through the official LoL Esports website listing the championship participants. If T1 wins the title, Rekkles would also be a world champion.
Rekkles joined T1's academy in 2023 after deciding to switch roles from ADC to support. Since then, he has been competing in the tier-2 league with the academy team. For Worlds 2024, Larsson will be part of the main T1 roster as a substitute support.
Throughout his career, Rekkles has competed in the League of Legends World Championship six times. His best result came with G2 Esports at Worlds 2018, where the team finished second, losing to Invictus Gaming in the grand final.
The 2024 World Championship will take place from September 25 to November 2 in Europe, with matches being held in Berlin, Paris, and London. Twenty teams from eight regional leagues will compete in the tournament. T1 secured the last slot at the championship through the regional qualifier and will begin their path in the Swiss stage.
