While esports remain one of the least dangerous sports when it comes to injuries, nobody is safe from unfortunate events in real life. Four members of the European club AOMA Esports (also known as A One Man Army) got into a car accident in Belgium. The club made an announcement on its social media.
The AOMA Esports members sustained various injuries. Two suffered concussions and bruises, a third with a broken eye socket and bones in the spine, and the last team member is in a coma. All four are in a hospital. AOMA has not disclosed the names of the three players and the staff member involved.
As the club respects the privacy of its people, we can't say which roster was affected by the car accident. AOMA Esports has several divisions, including League of Legends and Valorant. It took part in the EMEA Masters Play-in, where it failed to pass the group stage.
A One Man Army is set to compete in the group stage of the ESLOL 2024 Summer league for LoL. Their first match against Once Upon A Team will take place on June 4. Ensigame wishes all four people a speedy recovery.
