Chinese esports player Ping "Xiaolaohu" Xiao Hu nearly lost his spot on the FPX Esports League of Legends team after a physical altercation with the team's manager, Cao "Denny" Feng. Xiaolaohu shared this information on Weibo.

The conflict occurred during one of the training sessions. It started with an argument between Xiaolaohu and assistant coach Chen "Mouse" Yuhao, who pointed out a mistake the player made in a particular episode. The argument escalated, prompting Denny to intervene. Xiaolaohu told the manager to shut up, to which Denny responded aggressively, pushing Xiaolaohu in the chest. Following this, Denny ordered Xiaolaohu to leave.

According to Xiaolaohu, he told the manager not to lay hands on him. Denny then removed his hands but continued to shout at Xiaolaohu and insisted he leave. Xiaolaohu requested to be released from his contractual obligations. The club's management considered suing the player for breaching contractual obligations. However, his teammates defended him, stating that the manager had provoked him. Many refused to continue playing if Xiaolaohu were to leave the team.

Ultimately, FPX Esports issued an official statement. The club took position in between the sides and confirmed that all issues were resolved that the team would continue with the same lineup.
