The future of Team Liquid captain and sniper, cadiaN, is in question. The club management is considering options to replace the player, according to HLTV.org, citing sources close to the situation. Journalists report that a decision on changes in Team Liquid will not be made until after the conclusion of IEM Dallas 2024. The competition will take place from May 27 to June 2.

The team will also compete at the CCT Global Finals. CadiaN joined Team Liquid in December 2023. They took part in a bunch of big tournaments but failed to get any decent results. Considering the fact that the CS roster of Team Liquid is based in North America, a weaker region than Europe, the results for the lineup of this firepower is unsatisfactory. Additionally, the team failed to qualify for the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 and Esports World Cup 2024 - two of the biggest CS2 events of this year.

However, the question arises: why cadiaN? Usually, there are not many IGLs and sometimes it's easier to assemble a new squad around the captain and not vice versa. Especially when it comes to hungry player who is known for his insane clutches.

Well, it seems like there are some internal disputes as team chemistry is really low, and you can see it even without insider knowledge. However, if Team Liquid and cadiaN part ways, it might be a win-win situation: cadiaN will still find a team as he is a respected captain, Team Liquid will save the great core of players.
