The thirteenth Dota 2 World Championship has come to an end, and this time, there is no stronger squad than Team Liquid. For the European club, this is the second success at The International. However, last time, in 2017, it was a completely different roster with KuroKy as a captain.

Before this summer, Team Liquid had a reputation of chokers. They had a myriad of second and third places without success at big LAN tournaments. However, after they traveled to Peru this July and won (not without trouble) Elite League Season 2, the team seemed to find that X-factor and in Copenhagen we saw a completely different Team Liquid. This team was ready to fight. They got a perfect TI main event with winning all nine maps across four different matches.

Gaimin Gladiators were swept in both the upper bracket and grand finals of The International 2024. Last year, they also lost the grand finals with a score of 0:3. Perhaps, the curse now has moved to them. As the Dota 2 season is over, we should be expecting some big reshuffles and, of course, a new hero Kez.
