The LEC Winter 2025 regular season is over, making it a good time to reflect on the current state of the region so far. Over the past three weeks, ten teams have faced off against each other, but only eight have secured a spot in the playoffs.
There was no room in the next stage for Rogue and SK Gaming, both of whom finished the regular season with a 1-8 record. While Rogue is no stranger to the bottom of the standings, the collapse of SK is more surprising. Just last summer, SK won the LEC Summer 2024 regular season. However, since then, the team has undergone significant roster changes, and as we can see, their results have taken a sharp downturn.
At the top of the standings, Fnatic dominated. Their only loss came against KOI (who finished tied for 2nd-4th at 6-3), but they won all eight of their other matches. Meanwhile, G2 Esports, which swept all three splits in 2024, had a less-than-stellar regular season. A 6-3 record isn’t a reason to hit the panic button just yet, but it does set up an intriguing playoff run for G2 Esports.
The LEC Winter 2025 playoffs kick off on February 15, and the champion will be crowned on March 2.
