The new mod adds full 6DOF VR support to the game. Developed by modder DaXcess using the Unity OpenXR plugin, the Lethal Company VR Mod is compatible with various headsets, controllers, and execution modes, including Oculus, Virtual Desktop, SteamVR, and others.

LCVR also works in multiplayer, even between VR and non-VR players in the same session. Those without a VR headset can still run the mod, which allows them to see the hand and head movements of VR players in multiplayer.

The main menu is controlled using raycast interactors, allowing players to select any user interface element by simply pointing at it and activating the trigger on the corresponding controller. Key bindings are disabled by the mod, as it has its own set of controls.

The mod also includes a virtual keyboard for navigating through various game terminals, as well as a number of special additions, such as the ability to shake spray paint cans and wave shovels and signs. However, be careful when swinging items: this motion can cause damage to enemies (or allies).
