Blizzard is at the center of the Overwatch 2 controversy once more. After selling players a new Lucio appearance, the developers revealed a day later that it was free to use.

We're talking about the Cyber DJ skin, which appeared in the store for $19.99. But soon Blizzard announced an event dedicated to the future of Overwatch 2. On February 12, viewers who watched the broadcast on Twitch for one hour will be able to get the same look for free.

Many players purchased the Cyber DJ before the announcement and then found out they could get it without cost. Expectedly, this sparked outrage.

This isn't the first time Blizzard has sold cosmetic items and then given them away for free as part of promotions. Players are demanding refunds as they feel the situation is unfair. Oblique has already disappeared from the store, but Blizzard has not yet commented on the possibility of refunds.

Marvel Rivals is outperforming its rivals in every way, which presents significant difficulties for Overwatch 2. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Blizzard has revealed plans to reveal revolutionary gameplay changes at a special Overwatch 2 Spotlight event. 

When will the Spotlight broadcast for Overwatch 2 happen? February 12. New maps, heroes, and other kinds of new content will be unveiled, according to Blizzard. In order to give the upcoming game versions a first look, the company will also invite well-known streamers to visit their headquarters.
