Players feel that cheating in Modern Warfare 3 is getting out of hand. A look at the indicators reveals that fraud has become a significant problem for the game.

The Ricochet anti-cheat team reported that since November 12, more than 23,000 accounts have been banned for cheating in Call of Duty games. This achievement was partly due to an improved machine learning system.

Additionally, the developers have shared that a new feature named Splat has been activated over 2,000 times since its launch in November. Splat punishes cheaters by disabling their parachutes or adjusting speed during "bunny hop" jumps, resulting in the cheaters' deaths. However, users are not convinced that these efforts are enough to combat fraud.

Gamers still report instances of cheaters using software for aiming and other hacks to gain an unfair advantage. Players are also dissatisfied with the reporting system in Modern Warfare 3, as not only cheaters are banned, but also skilled gamers who do not use cheats but simply play well.

Many note that the 23,000 blocked accounts represent a minor portion of the player base, as MW3 has hundreds of thousands of active users.

The creators of Ricochet continue their fight, promising to ensure rule compliance throughout the holidays.
