In the latest financial report from Thunderful Group, which has already undergone several rounds of layoffs, an interesting detail about Replaced has emerged. According to the document, the cyberpunk platformer will only reach gamers in 2026 — after being delayed multiple times.
The developers at Sad Cat previously announced a delay for Replaced to 2025, citing the game’s development as a "unique challenge". However, the game was initially planned for a 2022 release, then pushed to 2023, and later to last year. The studio is committed to delivering a project of the highest quality, driven by the attention it has garnered and the expectations of eager players.
Replaced was first announced back in 2021. At the time, it was showcased during Microsoft’s presentation at the now-defunct E3 exhibition.
The developers have yet to comment on this latest delay. However, Sad Cat has not remained silent and occasionally shares updates about the upcoming title. For example, this summer, they showcased combat footage and a mini-game.
