Patch #8 for Baldur's Gate 3 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated updates yet, promising to deliver cross-play capabilities, a photo mode, and 12 brand-new subclasses. In a recent video from Larian Studios, players get an exclusive preview of four subclasses: the Bard of the College of Enchantment, Barbarian of the Path of the Giant, Cleric of the Death Domain, and Druid of the Circle of Stars.

With stress-testing currently underway and additional rounds of sign-ups available, the community eagerly awaits the official rollout. Despite the excitement, the exact release date for Patch #8 remains under wraps. However, the studio continues to engage with fans through sneak peeks like this latest video, which serves as Part 1 of a series exploring all 12 subclasses.

Two more trailers are planned to showcase the remaining subclasses, giving players plenty of time to prepare for the changes ahead. Additionally, the ongoing stress-test phase kicked off in January, during which Larian introduced a major update featuring the photo mode. As the final major patch, Patch #8 will conclude the game’s post-launch development cycle, leaving fans eager for what comes next.
