After being accused of using a "booster" service to level up a character in Path of Exile 2 to 97, Ilon Musk shared private messages with a streamer.
The incident comes after Asmongold released a 32-minute video commenting on allegations of “cheating” by Musk, who is rumored to have purchased a high-level character or had someone pump it in-game. The video reveals arguments pointing out that reaching level 97 takes a huge amount of time, raising questions about how Musk has time to fulfill his duties at SpaceX, Tesla and X and still pump the character.
Players also pointed out that when Musk was streaming, he clearly didn't know what he was doing, which is ridiculous for someone who has pumped a character from zero to level 97.
This point did not go unnoticed by Musk, who responded to Asmongold's video by writing that he too “needs to coordinate with the boss.” Musk also mentioned that the streamer allegedly has to consult with a team of editors before publishing content on the X network.
Asmongold responded by saying that he doesn't have a boss, and that the editors he wants to discuss publishing with work for him. This approach to content creation is common practice for most YouTube and Twitch streamers, allowing them to focus on creating content rather than editing it.
Musk's comment, according to Asmongold, only emphasizes the ignorance of the processes behind the scenes of content creation.
