With the release of Path of Exile 2, Grinding Gear Games continues to dominate the Steam charts. The launch of the new installment of PoE wasn't entirely smooth, but the developers are actively working on improving the game. Today, they released a video preview of the upcoming Path of Exile 2 patch, version 0.1.1.
The developers clarified that this update will address a number of issues and concerns that don’t require major work or large-scale changes to the game’s economy. Nonetheless, these "small fixes" have added up to quite a lot:
- Visual clarity has been significantly improved—effects from various spells will no longer distract as much from the action on screen.
- Numerous terrain collision issues have been fixed across multiple maps.
- With patch 0.1.1, Citadels will spawn more frequently, and they will now be clearly visible even in the fog of war.
- Console players will now be able to use item filters by subscribing to them on the original Path of Exile website.
- Players will have six respawn attempts to defeat the Arbiter of Ash.
- Socketable items can now be overwritten by other socketables.
- A variety of monster nerfs and loot drop buffs have been implemented.
The developers haven’t provided an exact release date for the update, but it is expected to arrive later this week.
