Sledgehammer Games studio published a new developer blog, in which it announced significant changes in the gunsmith mechanics. The team has decided to remove one of the main features of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Reportedly, Modern Warfare 3 will not have the "weapon tuning" mechanic. Players will still be able to customize weapon attachments and personalize them, however, the shooter will no longer have the ability to fine-tune different values for the selected weapon. This was one of the main gameplay features in Modern Warfare 2. According to the developers, they took such a step after carefully analyzing player community feedback.
Now, the new "Gunsmith" will display more detailed facts, figures, and statistics about the weapons, including the pros and cons of each attachment. New filtering options have appeared, as well as the ability to see only "Attachments", which is a new feature for Modern Warfare 3. This innovation will affect all types of weapons.
It is still unknown how this new feature will affect the game's ratings, however, due to the short campaign, players have unleashed a wave of anger and disappointment on the shooter. Dissatisfied gamers attempted to express their grievances in the usual way: with low ratings and honest reviews, but they accidentally confused the games.
From the strange iteration of Call of Duty's numbered parts, angry players accidentally lashed out at the 2011 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. On popular aggregators, the user rating of the game suddenly started to decrease. This is because users were trying to leave negative reviews for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 from 2023, but it is not yet possible to rate it as it is not yet available for early access.
Users consider the staging of the campaign to be a mockery of the game's fans. Many are convinced that a full release and online modes of the shooter will not rectify the overall deplorable state of the project.
