The newest addition to No Man's Sky unveils new horizons for players through the Relics system, entirely dedicated to ancient artifacts and interstellar archaeology. From now on, cosmic wanderers will be able to collect fossilized remains of alien creatures, creating unique museums of prehistoric exhibits at their bases.

The update's key feature is a fossil collection system for diverse lifeforms that can be discovered in the most remote corners of the galaxy. The gameplay now allows not only reconstructing complete skeletons of extinct beings but also displaying them in special exhibition halls or trading rare specimens with other researchers. Unique discoveries hold particular value - some fossils are so rare that finding them will become a true triumph for collectors.

The update also introduces elements of danger - certain archaeological treasures are guarded by colossal creatures, including stone golems and sandworms. To help complete collections, specialized traders have appeared on space stations, offering exchanges of rare artifacts.

Like all previous major updates, Relics is being distributed completely free of charge, continuing No Man's Sky's eight-year tradition of evolution that has persisted since the game's original release in 2016.
