The creators of the PvPvE action game Dungeonborne, inspired by the popular Dark and Darker, have announced the end of support for the game and the closure of its servers. The project, which lasted less than a year, failed to retain its audience due to low player activity and a lack of significant updates.

Although Dungeonborne's Steam page is still accessible, it can no longer be found through the platform's search—only via a direct link. The official reasons for the shutdown have not been disclosed, but it is clear that the extremely low player count played a key role. Since late 2024, the game saw no more than 200 concurrent players, and in recent days, activity dropped to just 10-15 players.

Dungeonborne's servers will be permanently shut down on May 28, marking the end of the project's history. Thus, the game, which initially sparked interest among fans of the genre, will fade into the past without realizing its full potential.
