Today, the main newsmaker was the iconic game whose remake is eagerly awaited by many fans. A three-minute story trailer for the Silent Hill 2 remake showcases numerous plot scenes and characters, while also featuring some gameplay footage.

Alongside the trailer, various gaming media outlets published their previews. All journalists praised the visual aspects of the game, noting that the developers did an excellent job with Unreal Engine 5. The team successfully recreated the atmosphere of the original Silent Hill 2. The thick fog, constant strange sounds, and reworked soundtrack all contribute to a sense of unease for the player.

James now has the ability to dodge attacks, but journalists mentioned that he still feels quite weak compared to the monsters. The combat system isn’t complex, but it doesn't disrupt immersion and suits James’s character, as he doesn't come across as an action hero. Combat isn’t the main focus of the game, as the developers paid significant attention to puzzles.

Many of the puzzles are carried over from the original, but Bloober Team also created some of their own. Some puzzles require players to spend time studying their surroundings to find solutions. The difficulty of both combat and puzzles can be adjusted separately.

As for the downsides, some reviewers were not pleased with the need to constantly open "endless drawers" to collect resources, saying it broke the immersion. Some journalists also noticed little graphical difference between the two modes on PS5, leading them to prefer playing in 60 fps.

Overall, journalists were satisfied with the first hours of Silent Hill 2 and felt that the game turned out much better than it appeared in earlier presentations.
