The studio GSC Game World presented a trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl during Gamescom 2024. The short video showcased a few cutscenes, several locations, and gameplay footage — this time without any gunfights. The video also featured the mercenary Scar, known from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.

The developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 stated that they are quite confident in the current release date of the game — November 20, 2024. GSC Game World is currently focusing all its efforts on polishing the shooter so that players can fully appreciate it.

According to feedback from Gamescom 2024, the demo version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is performing excellently from a technical standpoint. Festival attendees noted that the game is in great shape in terms of performance.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will be released on PC and Xbox Series X|S and will be available on Game Pass from the day of release.
