In the current gaming industry calendar, Gamescom serves as a platform where there aren't typically many premieres, but plenty of new information about already announced games is shared. Xbox's plans for the event in Germany fit perfectly into this concept. The company has revealed a list of games that will be showcased during official broadcasts over three days.
One could say that Xbox has adopted the format of multi-day music festivals: there are headliners and games that will also receive attention. However, the "performers" won’t repeat. All broadcasts will start at 15:00 CEST (9:00 ET, 6:00 PT), and the lineup is quite intriguing.
On Wednesday, August 21, the main highlights of the broadcast will be the Diablo series and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, but there will also be updates on Overwatch 2 and Forza Horizon 5. The latter is rumored to be coming to PlayStation, but these are just rumors with no confirmation yet.
Thursday, August 22, will be dedicated to Star Wars Outlaws, as well as The Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 76. World of Warcraft fans will also get their fill, and we can expect news on Microsoft Flight Simulator from the more niche projects.
Friday will feel a bit lighter. Here we'll see a game based on Indiana Jones, Avowed, and Path of Exile 2 (a wise decision not to schedule the game on the same day as Diablo IV).
The broadcasts will take place on Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube — choose your platform based on personal preferences.
