The team at Shift Up is getting close to launching the PC version of Stellar Blade, and now they’ve shared some exciting news for handheld gaming fans. The fast-paced action game has been shown running smoothly on the Steam Deck, which the developers call a brand-new way to enjoy the experience. That’s a pretty big deal since the game has only been available on PlayStation 5 until now.

With Shift Up showing this much confidence, it looks like Stellar Blade will have at least partial, if not full, support for the Steam Deck. The studio has said they want players to have a smooth ride, so performance on the handheld should be solid. Until now, the only way to play it on the go was through PS Portal using Remote Play, but that’s about to change.

The game originally dropped in April 2024 and quickly passed one million copies sold. Since launch, it’s received several free updates and a NieR: Automata crossover. And the upcoming PC version won’t be left out—Shift Up is prepping new content, including a collab with Nikke: Goddess of Victory. That update will also be coming to PS5.
