First showcased during Sony's State of Play presentation, the game immediately caught attention with its unique visual style executed in stop-motion technique and its grim, surreal atmosphere. The Midnight Walk isn't just horror - it's five remarkable stories about the struggle between light and darkness, told through clay animation and immersive storytelling.
Players assume the role of a mysterious creature called The Burnt One, accompanied by Potboy - a being with a lost lamp. The light from his lantern will become the only salvation from the darkness concealing terrifying secrets and monsters. Each chapter represents a standalone episode with unique environments and characters, crafted by hand and brought into the game through 3D scanning.
According to creators Klaus Lingeled and Olov Redmalm, the project became deeply personal for them: "The Midnight Walk is a world we've been sculpting for years. It's a story about finding light in the darkest corners of the soul".
The game is now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR2, and PC (Steam) with full PC VR support.
