The installation of update 0.15.2.0 for Escape from Tarkov began this morning, and though it took more time than expected, now the game is available to everyone. Battlestate games prepared a trailer dedicated to the "Mortar Strike" event.

Like many previous Escape from Tarkov update videos, this one features live-action footage. The video shows soldiers cautiously moving through a forested area, encountering enemies and engaging in a firefight. After the battle, unexpected explosive shells begin to rain down on the battlefield.

The event revolves around regular mortar shellings by local residents. Players will need to watch out for falling shells on the Customs, Woods, Shoreline, and Reserve locations. Scavs, bosses, and other characters will react to these bombardments, which occur in PvE, PvP, and the training mode.

Additionally, players will have the opportunity to complete a task line related to the event. Rewards include special equipment that warns of incoming shelling, a consumable item to call in mortar strikes, and a unique achievement.

The 0.15.2.0 patch brings more than just the event. Numerous new routes have been added, and transition activation times have been reduced to one minute after the raid starts. Bot movement routes after using cover have been improved, and balance adjustments have been made to various gear. A number of bugs have also been fixed — a full list of changes can be found on the game website.
