Activision has revealed plans for a massive Squid Game event in Call of Duty. It is set to kick off next month, shortly after the Netflix premiere of the sequel.

Details on what the crossover will entail for BO6 players are still unknown, but the teaser hints at Squid Game-inspired gameplay modes. Given the nature of the series, fans might expect tense, survival-based mechanics or unique challenges tied to the games from the show.

This isn’t the first time CoD has teamed up with big names in the entertainment industries. Previously, fans were able to get content from John Wick, The Boys, Fallout, and Halo franchises. Usually, Activision blends free content with paid cosmetic bundles.

The good news for players? Squid Game doesn’t rely on a vast array of visually intense designs, unlike some other crossover skins that have previously caused dissatisfaction among fans. Some players had even expressed their will to pay just to remove certain cosmetic options from their lobbies. Thankfully, that seems unlikely with this partnership, offering players a chance to enjoy the event without such distractions.
