Before the start of The Game Awards 2024, we suspected that there might be an announcement of a new game from Naughty Dog and Neil Druckmann. He had clearly hinted in interviews that work on the game had been ongoing for quite some time, and the announcement was just waiting for the right moment.

The teaser for the new game, titled Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet, was very atmospheric and rich in detail. The trailer blends space-age technology with a retro vibe. If we were to pinpoint one source that evokes the strongest associations, it would be the legendary anime Cowboy Bebop: bounty hunters, space, and great music (the trailer featured the song It's a Sin by Pet Shop Boys and the game score will be written by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails).

More details are still unknown, as is the potential release window for the game, but what we've seen so far sets a very positive tone. At the very least, the game will certainly have a cool style.
