GeForce RTX 5090 shipments could be delayed for up to 16 weeks, according to Overclockers UK. High demand and a shortage of chips are the causes.

Resellers purchased the majority of the graphics card's stock after it was released, listing them on eBay for two to three times the official price. Because TSMC is allocating capacity between Blackwell server gas pedals and consumer GPUs, production is constrained.

Pre-orders are no longer accepted by stores. A customer's order is automatically added to the queue if they haven't received a shipping confirmation. It will take 3–16 weeks for the RTX 5090 to begin shipping, and 2–6 weeks for the RTX 5080. The RTX 50-series graphics card shortage may continue. It's best to take your time and stick with your outdated graphics card if you were planning to upgrade.

With no units available in Chicago and other cities, it's practically impossible to find the RTX 5090 for sale in the US.

When NVIDIA revealed the RTX 5090 graphics card, gamers were not happy because it is almost impossible to locate the new product on the market. The largest US retailers, such as Micro Center, had fewer than five units available in many locations. Not a single card was shipped to Chicago. An already costly product will become even less affordable due to speculation and price increases caused by the limited supply of graphics cards.
