Financial reports are a handy tool for tracking the plans of major gaming companies. They might create a lot of marketing buzz, but lying to their investors can have serious consequences, so the picture they present tends to be more accurate.

In its financial report, Take-Two clarified that Civilization VII will be released by the end of March 2025. Previously, the company had indicated that the release would happen next year.

Earlier, Firaxis Games confirmed that the first gameplay reveal of the strategy game will take place on August 20th during Opening Night Live, followed by a separate 20-minute Civilization VII Gameplay Showcase.

Civilization VII is being developed for both the previous and current generations of consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Investors also asked Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick about the status of GTA VI development and whether Rockstar has begun testing and polishing the game. The CEO stated that there is no straightforward answer to that question and that Take-Two does not share such information.

In the financial report, Take-Two only confirmed that the release of GTA VI is still planned for late 2025.
