In honor of "The Last of Us Day", the online streaming service Max published a teaser for the upcoming second season of The Last of Us series. The clip lasts just over two minutes and features various scenes.
Viewers can see the town of Jackson and its residents, a picturesque landscape with snow-covered mountains, and a heartwarming moment where Ellie plays the guitar in front of Joel. Among the highlights are Ellie, Isaac and Joel talking to a mysterious woman played by Catherine O'Hara, who is likely a psychotherapist.
The creators also shared a synopsis for the upcoming episodes. The sequel will be set five years from the season one. Yet, the past events will catch up to main heroes. The season number two will premiere next year. The new episodes will be based on The Last of Us: Part II, introducing characters like Abby, Dina, and others familiar to fans.
The first season of The Last of Us debuted in early 2023. Despite some controversial moments, the adaptation received positive reviews and captured the attention of viewers.
